HUGS – Articles

About fifteen years ago, I was the victim of a carjacking, rape, and murder.  During the carjacking, I was raped, shot three times, left for dead, and worst of all – my two daughters were killed. My life is a testimony to the fact that victims can be victorious through the power of prayer.  When we pray, we are simply communing with God.  Sometimes prayer is a time of worship and praise, sometimes it is to petition God to meet a specific need, and sometimes it is to intercede on another’s behalf.

According to James 5:16, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much….”

So many people prayed for me; they had me on their minds and they took the time to pray for me.  I am so glad that they prayed.  Today I can truly say that I am no longer a victim, but I am victorious through the love of God.

In the book of Romans, the 37th verse in the 8th chapter states, “Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”  It does not matter what you are going through, just remember that God loves you and that makes you more than a conqueror.  You no longer have to be the victim of any situation, but you can be victorious over all situations.
